It started with one Bluetooth tracker.

Just one. For the diabetes bag, because obviously if we ever lost that, the consequences would be more dramatic than a Bravo reunion episode.

But then…

We couldn’t find the backpack.
Then the omnipod receiver.
Then the spare.
Then the emergency bag.
Then the case we take to school.
Then… the actual child.

So now, we have Bluetooth trackers on everything. Yes—everything.

The backpack.
The lunchbox.
The diabetes pouch.
The emergency juice box kit.
The favorite hoodie that somehow ends up in the lost-and-found weekly.
The medical alert bracelet.
The sleepover bag.
The dog, probably.

Honestly, if I could Bluetooth-track my sanity, I would.

💬 Why Bluetooth Trackers Became Our Love Language

  • Because T1D kids don’t travel light.
  • You’d think we were packing for a weekend in the woods just to go to the grocery store.
  • Because we’ve already left the house without insulin. Once. Never again.
    (I still have flashbacks.)
  • Because when your brain is juggling blood sugar data, meal math, and prescription refill dates, finding the CGM receiver is… not top of mind.
(Until it beeps from the bottom of a shoe bin.)

🎯 Things Currently Being Tracked in My Life

  • The diabetes bag
  • The backup diabetes bag
  • The school diabetes bag
  • The car diabetes bag (yes, that’s a thing)
  • The backpack
  • The water bottle (because hydration is essential but apparently invisible)
  • The CGM receiver
  • The emotional support plushie that must accompany every appointment
  • My child (yes, actually)
  • Me (also yes, because I lost my keys three times in one week)

🚨 Do I Have a Problem?

No. I have a system.

A system built on technology, desperation, and not wanting to cry in a Target parking lot again.

So if you see me at pickup triple-checking my app to make sure all our gear is still physically in this dimension, just know:
It’s not paranoia. It’s survival.

And honestly, Bluetooth trackers?
You’re the real MVP.
